Police arrest woman who reported abandoned baby

A 21 year old Bolivian woman has been arrested by police after she was found to be the mother of a baby she reported abandoned shortly before on the calle Duque de Calabria in Valencia.

Police found the baby shortly before 4pm yesterday afternoon and arranged for it to be transferred to La Fe Hospital while they investigated the mother's identity.

Their investigations led them to an address on the Avenida Peris y Valero, where they found the mother who turned out to be the same woman who had earlier reported it missing.
